Good times

To the best of my knowledge everybody had a good time this year at Thanksgiving. Me... I am worn out, the travel, the late nights, the early mornings, but no complaints. I loved seeing everyone and spending time with them all. The picture is off two proud grandparents and five grand babies all 2yrs. and younger. (Yes we are all still sane after this weekend!)
I thank God so much for His love and kindness to keep this family so close. I am also thankful for those who serve Him abroad.
May the Lord bless you all!!

Evelyn's first haircut

Randomly Hillary and I decided that it was about time that Evelyn had some bangs... needless to say from the picture she likes them. Cutting her hair is no problem, I told her to look at daddy and that was enough. Cutting Levi's hair, on the other hand, is quite and ordeal. Hillary and I end up getting mad at each other because neither one of us can keep him still.

A time for thanks

I have been thinking lately about this upcoming Thanksgiving that we will be spending at my oldest brothers house. I admit that I am about as excited for this as I get for Christmas sometimes. I am looking forward to spending time with my family and getting to meet my new niece and nephew. My family doesn't get together that much because of where everyone lives, so all of us coming together this year is a big deal. (Plus mom is celebrating a big birthday this year... I won't disclose the year for her sake.)
Yet in the midst of the excitement, there is a little sadness that is lingering. Each morning I wake up is another day closer to following the Lord's will and moving out of this country. The sadness is not the following the Lord's will, but the saying good-bye to the ones we love so much. I am thankful for this year and the opportunity to spend time with my family but I know that there will be fewer and farther between chances for us all to be together again.
At any rate, I hope that this is the best Thanksgiving yet and that the gluttony is overlooked. (I don't plan on going hungry!)

Last night's adverture

So I decided to give Hillary the night off from the kids, they have both have been coughing a little during the night which has caused them to wake up which in turn means they end up in bed with us. Since Hillary is always the one to get up with them during the week I thought it would be nice to give her a night off.

What a night... I made a pallet on the floor in the den. Levi was screaming at 1:00a.m. and ended up on the floor with me. At 3:30a.m. Evelyn was screaming for "mydaddy" (as she calls me) so she ended up on the floor with me. Needless to say, me so sleepy! At least I can say that Cody (our dog) was not in the mix of things, she was cozy on her bed away from the kids.

Anyway, Hillary got some sleep (much needed I should add) and is ready for her day hanging out with some old friends. As for me... I got the kids all day. I can't wait.
